There's actually very little stitching on the top of my cover. In regards to the backrest, that would have been for the rider, correct? I am OK with OEM seat but this looks and I think is a luxury type! Ollie, I like everything you said here and the seat as well. Any pics of the inner side, how it was stapled? If I may ask for a total price, if not, send me PM, please. TY RE: Looking for some seat advice. - Ollie - 01-03-2023 I know standard they have a bracket built in to the rear for the passenger backrest but I'm not sure if they put one behind the rider's bucket or not? Mine has neither. RE: Looking for some seat advice. - peterbaron - 01-03-2023 Do not care or need a bracket/hardware either! Mine has neither. Yeah, I believe you can have it customized (for a fee, of course) to support the rider who need back support. But okay, yours did not have the option. RE: Looking for some seat advice. - DutchRutter - 01-06-2023 @Ollie Now that is a great looking Corbin! I'm quite surprised how removing the pleating and stitching changes the entire look, and for the better! I do think having a bit wider seat then stock would be good for both rider and pillion. I also do like how the Corbin narrows in front of the rider, and I believe a flatter seating position (less slopped forward) will benefit me and my comfort. Since I lost the lottery on height, I'm a bit nervous about changing the bucket position, but I could see keeping the stock location or maybe moving it forward a touch. I would also do the same and loose the back rest hardware, since I have a Givi box for a passenger backrest when needed. I guess I have some thinking and bike sitting to do on this before pulling the trigger on one. Thanks for the ideas and opinions everyone, I really appreciate it! Then you should request Corbin move the bucket on their seat 1 1/2" forward for you. That'll be about where it is on the stock seat or maybe even a little closer to the tank. Standard Corbin bucket location which is what my seat is, is 1 1/4" rearward from stock. |
