They're pretty clever, and minimally invasive, just putting a small pinhole in the wire insulation. Sort of hard to find these days in hardware stores, but Amazon has them. What about getting rid of the flasher and wiring mods and just use one of these bulbs instead? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Q5B3H5K/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B09Q5B3H5K&pd_rd_w=iZrJW&content-id=amzn1.sym.eb7c1ac5-7c51-4df5-ba34-ca810f1f119a&pf_rd_p=eb7c1ac5-7c51-4df5-ba34-ca810f1f119a&pf_rd_r=0V9W6M0SJR35JD4G4BP6&pd_rd_wg=ifvIG&pd_rd_r=4d9a73a1-54ad-4872-adde-b8f171b7cffe&s=automotive&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw RE: Preferred Brake Light Bar Farkles - Gone in 60 - 03-18-2024 (03-13-2024, 11:07 PM)Tev62_imp Wrote:(02-08-2024, 10:09 AM)Gone in 60_imp Wrote: I hate cutting or splicing wires, but if I recall correctly, I used a Posi-Tap connector on each of the pos/neg wires going to the brake light. That bulb looks pretty cool. If I were going for the high-speed, low-drag approach without adding anything to the bike, I'd definitely go with a simple bulb replacement. But, I wanted to add another red thing to the back of the bike, especially a little higher up from the factory taillight and on the back of the rack, as the rack itself might obsure the taillight a bit from some angles. |
