An incredible find for sure by Vic World...surprised he's not keeping this one for himself.

I saw some chat about this on the Nighthawk forum this morning. One of our members mentioned that hopefully this truly historial bike will end up in the Barber Museum. Anybody here familiar with it?

Something like this truly does belong in a museum. Hopefully, somebody that is filthy rich will buy it and let a museum have it for display. I am just glad to see pictures of it.

Did some checking and found this link to that museum:

Looks like a great future home for that beauty!

Still love the timeless good looks of the original 750. A friend had one this same color in '72.

Yes, it is actually pretty close to me. I am a returning rider after many years away so I haven't actually been to the museum itself but I went to the Vintage Motorcycle Festival last year at Barber's and it was a lot of fun! I wanted to see the museum as well but there was so much to see at the festival we didn't have the time. I am planning to return and see the museum for sure. It is a world class collection and would make a great home for a bike of this caliber!

Current bid $130,300.00. Dayum !

Hey 736CC ...you seeing this?

That prototype was sold during a Honda warehouse fire-sale of used motorcycles about 7-8 years ago by a clueless son of a big shop owner in the northeast. Somebody I knew bought it for a song. He called me up to tell me about this strange CB750 he found. I spent 2 days rummaging thru it and informed him of what he stepped in. He offered to sell it to me a week later and the night before I was to pick it up, he backed-out. Ironically I am sorta glad i did not buy it; its too valuable to own and too desirable to sell. It would have been too distracting to own, and the ultimate "I wished I never sold that bike"

Now that I can totally understand.

WOW, Very Cool.

Auction ends soon. - road dog_imp - 02-10-2014

Current high bid $135,300, 97 bids, only 8 hrs remaining.

Will be interesting to see just how high the bidding goes.

Hah! road dog, I had just checked ebay to see what was going on with this auction on its final day and I was just typing the same post!! How high do you think it will go?? It's probably safe to assume there are some serious collectors watching this and they may be waiting 'til the last minute to snipe up to their highest price.

Could it go to 150?
