Ah yes, Hondas answer to Moto Guzzi. First came out as the CX500. Some of the 650's had a factory installed turbo on them.
Interesting bikes, buddy who was a Honda MC mechanic had one for a while as a "demonstrator".

And the fact that by the time people knew it was being sold, it was gone.
If I can resist the urge to get what's new right away, The past 4 bikes I've bought were very low miles examples that were technically 2 model years old, but the cost to me was at least 30% and sometimes 40% off the new MSRP.
The cb was all new, at least when released in other countries. Yeah it was a retro bike, but all new.. The Deauville was parts bin.. They also screwed up the 700, the 650 versions you could remove the bags to get a fun bike. Iirc this was way harder on the 700

Put some bags on the CTX700T and you're pretty close! Plus you get all the torque down low, no need to rev to 5000 for the power band. Some might even replace the screen with some taller plastic.

Exactly. The CTX700 and related NC700X are good current answers with cruiser and "adventure" ergos, respectively. Both can be had for $6,000 US new, non-current.
