Yeah, they built an iconic bike that two generations later still strikes a primal chord with motorcyclists.

Best sounding bike ever.

The one thing that Triumph can't seem to grasp with their latest Bonnies is that lean athletic look of the original. The photos presented here of original Bonnevilles remind me of a champion gymnast, lean and fit and a style that never seems dated. The opposite of my condition.

That's why the DLX suits me so well, symmetry in the limbs and certain puffiness in the tank lol

Triumph can't win when it comes to guys like me because in my mind they set the design bar so high back then. Their current offerings do a really nice job of mixing good looks with modern features (and we all know what a positive that is). But when it comes down to purely looks. the two machines owned by you gentlemen are just in a different league from my perspective

Really fantastic looking bikes. Thanks for sharing!

It's because of a 2 Cylinder Parallel is still enough, although I like air cooled In Line Fours.
Triumph build a role model for all followers and imitators. An everlasting one!

A test ride will definitely be on the agenda for me when my local dealer gets them in. I attended their "preview" last Nov. or Dec. of all the new models, and was really impressed by the difference in quality and detail. The gauge cluster was just beautiful, in fact. The look seems a lot more faithful to the Bonnies of old, too...and that new black and white paint job just takes my breath away.
But the changeover to the 270 firing order is something I'll never understand. Loved my '12 Bonnie, but the power always seemed lacking - it'll be interesting to see if the new engine is markedly more gutsy or not, and just how much the "radically improved" suspension really is improved over the buckboard entry-level set-up of the outgoing model.

Happy now?

Nemo don't know why you're laughing, the last thread title I corrected for spelling was yours, and you yelled at me for it and made me change it back.
