Hmm I dont recall that. If you asked me I'd say 95 was as fast as I have been on it. If I did make it to 100 it was momentarily I can assure you.

The top HP rating for it is difficult to really nail down. I used 149 because that seems to be the most conservative. The US ECU, from what I've read, limits the power to a much greater extent than the European ECU. Additionally, Dyno results apparently can be a challenge due to the wheelie control shutting down or limiting the power if the front wheel speed sensor is not disabled. I've read HP ratings as high as 189, but I doubt any stock US bike is putting that out without a flash, which I have no interest in doing.

I've only touched triple digits or 10K rpm briefly, as things tend to get "busy". Around here on certain stretches of the freeway many figured out that speed was not being enforced as much due to Covid and responded accordingly. So at the time, it was just a matter of bumping things up slightly, for research purposes only, and it was educational! I gained a whole new level of respect for the TT guys and it really puts the whole "mine is bigger than yours" HP conversations in perspective.

Absolutely- I love watching Isle of man... but my wife makes me turn it off as soon as she comes in the room.
