Thank you, guys! It was a long time ago and I never posted or discussed this anywhere but I have often debated in my mind if I did the right thing? My brain always said no but I kept telling myself I did the right thing.

I don’t know that there is a right or wrong in this. What you did was not only a generous act to the newlyweds, but supportive of your 11-year old son who had made a mistake.
