Don’t go by the looks of the Honda seat. I’ve seen a report the other day, about what looks comfy and desirable and what isn’t.
+ soft seats are useless as there rubber softens further when warmed by weather and you blood
+ wide seats feel “safer” first, but restrict blood flow,
+ higher seats in the back change the CoG to higher, no good
+ pillion backrests increase the risk to your back-bones in an accident,
Looks to me that Honda has made done their homework, the plank may be much better than you think.

As an exceptionally narrow person, I’ve definitely found that wide seats cut off blood flow to my legs after a while. For the passenger, though, their knees are so high that a wider, thicker seat seems to distribute sitting pressure much better.
The seat on my 2014 standard was awful - thin, really soft foam. The DLX seat is better. The K&H seat has been a huge improvement for both me and my fiancée.

Girl, I hear you talkin', but do you ride pillion on a CB? What is your age, height, and weight? I rode my first bike in 1969 and have been gathering data ever since. All that said, I will get Mrs. CB onto the pillion and see how it goes. I may be surprised, and I do seriously thank you for your input.

Jeez, I knew I shouldn't have done that! Sitting down at the computer this morning, I thought, I'll just have a quick glance at craigslist, just for kick's'n giggles. What do I see? You guessed it, the perfect bike for what I want! The exact model, color, condition, price, and location!! Da*n, I was supposed to wait for October! I'm going to have to go look at it. Grrrr....
