RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - rboe - 07-21-2021 Africa Twin would be too tall for that hair raising event. And too top heavy. In that regard you were lucky to be on the CB. In cases like that I much prefer going up to going down. ![]() Glad you had a happy ending! RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - bioman_imp - 07-21-2021 Great story! Thanks for writing it down. Sounds like you didn't panic as much as I would have lol. and I was upset because I had to ride for at 25MPH for a on hour or so on fresh gravel and oil recently. It was annoying but all i had to do was clean the bike after. The worst part of that is hearing the "tinks" of little rocks hitting your pipes RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - Cormanus - 07-21-2021 Very well told indeed, j3gq. My heart was in my mouth. I'm glad you got through unscathed. RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - Inhouse Bob - 07-21-2021 Quite a story! I'm glad you lived to tell the tale. Maybe Cormanus will share a similar yarn from our adventure in OZ. I don't think pterodactyl will mind... Statute of Limitations and all that
RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - Stichill - 07-21-2021 You are an excellent storyteller! I was on the edge of my seat the from the very beginning! Sounds like you stared into the abyss and said to it, "Not today!" RE: The story of the frog in cooking water, and where a CB should never go - Whoops - 07-21-2021 Ok, that made my palms sweat. My tale was not so brilliantly told. Last time I rode an Enduro must have been in 1980 and a Yamaha single/two-stroke 400. But that is sooo long ago. Would have never guessed that there could be a dirt road experience where my CB might take a lead over a solid Enduro. Interesting opinion. You find yourself sure you are going down and then amazed you make it though unscathed. I'm glad you did! |
