you can make or buy longer wires.

and to change one is grounded at the tank the other at the fuse

Aaaawwwww mmmmaaaaannnnn! Now I'm gonna have to get me some of those lights after I get a set of engine case guards.

I totally forgot about the low amp draw of the LED's. Palm to the forehead moment there!

Just extend the wires, that's no problem. I have a set of Clearwater Glenda's mounted to my SW-Motech bars. I posted a How-To with pics a while ago: http://www.cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7820

Oh, also, the rectifier on the CB1100 delivers very close to 12v, so do your calculations with 12v, not 13+. :-)
