I cringe when I fill up my Acura (RL) every 300 miles with 18 gallons of premium.
I'm getting about 120 miles per tank with the CB1100.
If my Prius ever runs out of gas I'll find out how much that will hold, too...

Hey Ferret, the little man in my head told me Bruce does 22km/L.

Honda claims that this is a computerized operation, but your photos clearly show that there is a very small person living inside of your instrument cluster. He appears to be holding something, which I'm guessing is a calculator that is used to determine the necessary calculations that are then displayed back to you. This is of course fascinating and would account for some of the additional weight on the DLX model. I wonder if the magazines will pick up on this, or if you have an exclusive on your hands?

Cool stuff by the way.

+1. I see the color blue in the photos, and I'm thinking he's probably the same guy who lived in the blue water inside my old Magic 8 Ball.

p.s.--for those youngsters who've never heard of a Magic 8 Ball, you can "Google" it on your "iPhone5S."

Big Grin

Isn't there an app for that on the apple app store?

May have had anywhere from 3/10 to 5/10 fuel left in tank (not sure what it will hold..but I think 4.6 and if so had 1/2 gallon left or nearly 25 miles)

Note it was scary riding around for so long with the last bar still flashing. I think I put 50 + miles on the flashing bar.

Good to know. Thanks, Ferret.

I put BP Ultimate Unleaded in Dixie (my bike)

http://www.bp.com/en_gb/on-the-road/united-kingdom/products-services/bp-ultimate-unleaded.html

I have no idea wether it's a load of marketing cuss, or the best thing since sliced bread, but it costs me more than 'normal' unleaded.

Normal is 98Ron, as is my 'premium @~*^e' but without the additives.

The moot point is, I pay around £1.40 per litre for this 'jungle juice' and don't give a crap.

Let's translate that into the currency of the majority stakeholders here.

1 US Gallon = 3.785 litres

So...

140 x 3.785 = 529.90 pence per US gallon

£5.29 is $8.88 per US gallon.

The normal stuff is a few pence per litre cheaper, so we still pay a lot.

When riding tonight I laughed inside my new helmet and thought, "ha, I'm burning fuel and stacking on miles on a vehicle, for the sake of burning fuel and stacking on miles on a vehicle. I must be nuts! Plus I'm cold"
