Love my '13 but it needs a 6 speed. ^^^ This. Go for the 2014. RE: CB1100 dilemma - INTP_imp - 02-25-2015 The paint work on these bikes is so amazing, I would have a hard time destroying it just to change the color. RE: CB1100 dilemma - VOZZA_imp - 02-25-2015 I've had a 13 and a 14, I'd go for the 14 every time. RE: CB1100 dilemma - JPX_imp - 02-25-2015 Well my decision was made for me since when I called this morning to put a deposit down they said the 2013 is sold. I put down my deposit for the 2014 over the phone and will be picking up my shiny new toy in a week or two.

I don't think I would mind one less gear to shift through either. The early project engineers agreed. Five speeds is more relaxed. The gears on the five are also slightly farther apart than the six speed. The idea is to put it in fifth at about 28 mph and leave it til you go below that. RE: CB1100 dilemma - the Ferret - 02-25-2015 Congrats...std or dlx? I haven't ridden either of them to be honest. The local dealership is having it shipped in from another one of their stores. I've read so many online reviews and watched several Youtube video reviews to know that I'm going to like what I'm getting. I did the same with my FZ6. ![]() Ferret, the only CB's that I could find within a few hour drive radius were standards so that's what I ended up getting. RE: CB1100 dilemma - the Ferret - 02-25-2015 14 STD is good.. you will enjoy this bike RE: CB1100 dilemma - Motogeezer1949_imp - 02-25-2015 A std. is great, no complaint - but a 6 speed and ABS is worth a few extra buck$ IMO. |
