What other bikes have you actually ridden? A couple Harley softails and vrods, a cbr, and a handful of various friend's bikes and dirt bikes. Never any touring type bikes though, I'm guessing they're probably more comfortable but I wouldn't know lol. I wasn't able to catch the order before they shipped, but I called and they sent me a return label so I can send it right back when I receive it. I would be pretty bummed if I put it on only to find out it's a permanent baffled version. RE: First 60 miles: my impressions - Motogeezer1949_imp - 07-17-2015 Best ergo's ever! Wonderful seat, good for hundreds of miles, perfectly placed bars and grips. Easy to squeeze levers. The pegs and their location couldn't be better, controls excellent, mirrors big and that motor! Zero vibration! Great torque. Tranny shifts better than any of my BMW's, old or new! A gear for every driving situation too - perfectly spaced cogs. And those brakes! Front rotors not prone to warping at all. Once I finally wrested ownership away from my son, and put a few miles on it (14k at this point) I decided that the CB1100 is the most enjoyable bike I've ever ridden. It is, plain and simple: perfection.
