RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - Gone in 60 - 05-26-2023 Speaking of tire sticker shock... Just got an unrepairable flat on my car. Five years ago, the Firestones cost me $85 each. I got the bill for one replacement and my heart stopped. Same tire today is $174. RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - Tom_imp - 05-26-2023 my local dealer was bale to get me a matching pair of Bridgestones but that was the only choice that matched. RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - Pauley - 05-26-2023 Metzler Z8 and Bridgestone T32 are both radials that come in stock sizes. I recently switched from the Z8 to the T32 and I really like them - the jury is still out on how they wear but it's looking good so far. I used the Bridgestone B54 for years but I think it has been discontinued for a while - if you find a pair of those for sale, just watch the manufacture date to make sure they're not too old. The T32 tires I bought a couple of months ago had "1422" for 14th week of 2022 on the sidewall. You might be able to call up motosport and get on a notifiy list for when they get a rear in stock, might get lucky and they'll have one for your next set lol. Their customer service is stellar. Enjoy the new shoes! I really liked the feel of when the fresh tires wore off the slickness. Arghhhhh Theres still an OK selection of good tires for the CB1100. Try any of the below tires for best results. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pirelli-angel-gt-tires?gclid=CjwKCAjwscGjBhAXEiwAswQqNDg825L_EHudF7BNMrlAYKHZ7N-ns2YqE2aKdlHYX-3KqNfLCsOqThoCGgwQAvD_BwE https://www.motosport.com/product/?cc=us...le&variant[MTZ0017]=MTZ0017-X001-Y001&variant[MTZ000F]=MTZ000F-X001-Y010&variant[MTZ000G]=MTZ000G-X001-Y017 [url=https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bridgestone-battlax-t32-sport-touring-tires?gclid=CjwKCAjwscGjBhAXEiwAswQqNJAnNNEa3vhN1-huDM7eYNxh5NZceGEMe6hI7QmxILzUPyVlOV2IrxoCPOUQAvD_BwE]https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bridgestone-battlax-t32-sport-touring-tires?gclid=CjwKCAjwscGjBhAXEiwAswQqNJAnNNEa3vhN1-huDM7eYNxh5NZceGEMe6hI7QmxILzUPyVlOV2IrxoCPOUQAvD_BwE RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - DaSwami_imp - 05-27-2023 I will be needing new tires for my 2013. Is there a way to mark or subscribe to this thread so I don't lose track of it? RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - misterprofessionality - 05-28-2023 if you just bookmark this page in your browser it'll bring you right back. Also, over the years that this forum has existed there are frankly COUNTLESS tire threads. though many of them are way out of date in terms of whats currently in production. my next set of tires will be the 4th different set of tires i have used for my bike. Starting with the original Bridgestones from the factory > the legendary and frankly perfect Michelin PR3 > the Avon Spirit ST II which is only recently discontinued > a hard choice Bridgestone t32 and Metzeler Z8. I guess we'll find out in another 5k miles. RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - Nachodaddy - 05-28-2023 Well, I don't ride my bike a lot or real hard/fast when I do, but the Metzler Z-8s have been real good so far. Ordered them from either Cycle Gear pr Revzilla at a very reasonable price two years ago. Bottom of the screen, left hand side, small print, under the quick reply box, there’s an option to subscribe to a thread. RE: New Tires...LOL no really I am crying. - widude - 05-31-2023 I got new tires just over a month ago, ordered through the dealer, Bridgestone. Even with that it took some looking, I got my 2nd choice. I had 6500 miles on the tires that came off, ment to get some last year. The front tire had some cupping, it was also time to change anyway. I can’t imagine to much ‘old stock’ on the shelf, with shortages. |
