RE: Warranty BS as explained by an insider - LongRanger_imp - 09-25-2015 I'm not necessarily against paying a fair price for an extended warranty, but I get po'd when certain items are denied coverage due to normal wear. Gotta read the fine print before you sign! RE: Warranty BS as explained by an insider - silverbub_imp - 09-25-2015 Thank you, Mr. Insider(former, now...) Olyrider for pulling back the curtain on the extended warranty song/dance!...Truth is a precious commodity! & your revelation is appreciated!!...Best to you as you breath fresh & clean air in your newly claimed environment!! Gotta read the fine print before you sign! Wearing out a part is not something I would ever ask a warranty to replace... it's a warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, not a maintenance contract. You can usually get one of those, too. RE: Warranty BS as explained by an insider - Olyrider - 09-25-2015 Great points, AzBob! And very succinct! Wish I had that gift. RE: Warranty BS as explained by an insider - LongRanger_imp - 09-25-2015 I completely agree, but I was thinking about things like fuel pumps, water pumps (on some bikes), O2 sensors, etc. Some warranties cover this stuff, some don't. |
