I agree with Ferret that there's value in the accessories, but they don't necessarily justify an increase in the bike's price. I'd give them $7000 for that bike all day long. RE: 2014 Honda CB1100A Deluxe ABS - 4 Paws_imp - 12-04-2016 Unusual twist for that dealership, they normally try the 'bait and switch' advertising, very low advertised price then jack up everything to non-competitive prices. I've shopped there several times for bikes and walked out "irritated" because of their sales tactics. Wife wanted some stuff for her bike so we stopped there, the parts counter guy pulled up some web sites we had already visited and read product descriptions verbatim. Window shopped there last night before eating at a neighboring restaurant, floor was full of bikes. As much as I enjoy my CB I have a hard time believing a used Deluxe is worth close to 10 grand. Love to know what they gave in trade in value. RE: 2014 Honda CB1100A Deluxe ABS - The A-man - 12-04-2016 I spent at least 6 months looking for a DLX year ago. I was so frustrated at not finding one that I think I would have paid full asking for this one. But I was obsessed with DLX, not STD. Someone will buy it and be very happy. RE: 2014 Honda CB1100A Deluxe ABS - clearviewx - 12-04-2016 the price has been lowered a couple times since it was originally posted.. That is especially true when that "someone" has deep pocket. I've seen with my own eyes a standard CB1100 purchased new, the owner paid about ~$10k to have it custom painted, Yoshimura exhaust ... and a bunch of other mods. The owner then rode it for less than 150 miles and sold it for cheap. RE: 2014 Honda CB1100A Deluxe ABS - BestStandard_imp - 12-08-2016 http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=282080545691&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 It's actually a great price for an almost new DLX and anybody looking for a VERY rare DLX should jump on it before it's gone!! Remember the Ebay listing above... it started at 99 cents and the winning bid was $10,579. There are no leftover DLXs and based on the registry it appears they only made 300. RE: 2014 Honda CB1100A Deluxe ABS - LongRanger_imp - 12-08-2016 Do you recall if the eBay auction for that DLX had a reserve price? If not, starting it at $0.99 took some real cajones! |
