I've done the same thing with the "double gasket" before, though it was on my Mountaineer, not a bike. I backed the truck off the ramps and saw a trail of nice, clean oil trailing the engine when i got out. Obvious what the problem was.

I have the habit now of carefully inspecting the mating surface, with a flashlight if i have to, and coating with lube as well. You are free to use the same technique on the tatoo-ed lady if necessary.

I get so frustrated when I read pieces like this. If you're a Chevy guy, would you really turn down help from, or a ride in, a new Ford? I'm sorry... I know all about the Harley stereotype and how they all supposidly look down on 'Jap' bikes and such, but this just proves that it can go in reverse. Man, don't judge a book by its cover... if help is offered, what difference does it make what they're driving or riding, as long as the offer is sincere. Glad you're bike was ok.
