Notwithstanding a product failure/defect in the battery itself, life depends a lot on where you live.
Batteries exposed to the constant heat of southern states, for example, have a much shorter life.
Up here in Eskimo land I easily get 7-8 years out of the Yuasa batteries I use.
The original battery that came with my '06 Bonneville is still good, but I replaced it last week rather than temp fate any longer.
It doesn't owe me anything after all this time Big Grin

Thanks, everyone! I'll hang on to it. Guess I'll start checking out battery tenders, too.
