I saw a red one at the Streets of Willow a while back.

My brother took some pics. He lives nearby, so my 115 mile trip to the track is easy, because I stay at his house, twelve miles from Laguna Seca, the night before.

I did, however ride home after a full day (7 half-hour sessions), about 165 miles (and two tanks of gas!) at Laguna. Weather was post card perfect.

A couple more from CaliPhotography, shooting at the track that day:

The CB1100 was very comfortable at Laguna Seca. Much better times than mine (2:06) can be made with even a modicum of skill and/or practice. Lean angles need to be watched, but a skilled rider can hang off, brake waaaay later and mind the proper racing line. A marginally capable rider could get much better times out of the bike.

OTOH, not sure anyone could have more fun than I did that day, though, and that's how I score Sundays in November.

Looking great, Rolls! Hanging off the CB isn't the easiest thing to do, a lot of weight goes to the left peg, which makes for an interesting situation when grinding it into the track while leaned over.

The CB has more capability than we give it credit for. Not once did I have the rear slip out or the suspension overload while carving up corners at JenningsGP. Kissing the mirrors (or lack thereof) with those bars makes for some sore muscles by days' end.

See ya later, fellas! Maybe it's your stupid radiators slowing you down! Try fins, baby!

In reality, they're gaining on me, but what the heck, right? I still got to drop down the five stories of elevation of the corkscrew on my trusty CB11.

Well done Rolls, I bet your itching to do another ride day.

Yes, 'flyer, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I will say after 7 half hour sessions, my old muscles were sore for four days! Worth it, though.
