RE: Update on forum member dUh - curlyjoe - 12-06-2016 Good news that Rick is recovering nicely! RE: Update on forum member dUh - Chapomis_imp - 12-06-2016 Great news, thanks for the update ! RE: Update on forum member dUh - dUh!_imp - 12-07-2016 Mickey, it was good of you and the wife to come and visit with me for a bit. Sorry it wasn’t on the bikes this time. Thank you all for everything. It has been a long road since the day of the accident. It’s been a long tough year altogether. When I read about CB4ME, I set my Ipad on the floor and didn’t pick it up for weeks, literally. CB4ME helped me out when I was looking for an aftermarket exhaust. Everyone here has always been so helpful, pleasant, and gracious. Can’t stand the thought of anyone getting hurt. I do want my CB back, and it is a goal to acquire another, soon. I would like to attend a few more Rally’s; but showing up with a backwards baseball cap and my car, doesn’t seem like an appropriate way to attend. I’ve thought about creating 2 short write-ups. One pertaining to my motorcycle life, thus far. Result of writing that, would have to also include the accident that happened in Virginia … Not too sure yet. Now that I am back at work, I have more time to abuse the internet and computer time. RE: Update on forum member dUh - DAC - 12-07-2016 Thanks for the updates, Rick and Mick (you should do a show.) I am really heartened to hear this and wish you all the best Rick! RE: Update on forum member dUh - SCCBrider_imp - 05-19-2018 That was a bad day. We had been having a great day of riding. We had met up with 4paws and he was leading this part of the ride. So I was able to just relax a bit. I always keep an eye on the guys behind me when in group rides. We had just rounded a bend in the road and started on a straight part when I noticed someone was missing. I got that sinking feeling. Stopped and turned around. I couldn't believe what happened. Rick had gone down on a straightaway. It wasn't until we spoke with his girlfriend and found out that he had been hit by a deer. A nurse had said that he had been hit by a deer. She said that he kept talking/asking about how the deer was. I've chatted with Ricky hear and there, and I am glad he is getting better. Hope to see him at the rally, and look forward to seeing everyone else.
