RE: Riko's videos - beardyweirdy@me.com_imp - 08-07-2016

Also Riko, I don't know if it's an option but putting the mic in manual and setting a level might help. In auto as the wind and road noise rises the mic will compensate by lowering the level And reducing the sound...

RE: Riko's videos - Riko_imp - 08-07-2016

the mic itself doesnt have any settings, just a plug and play mic

the AS200 cam wich I use and has a mic connection is also limited as far as I could find from this manual
http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1520/v1/en/print.pdf

there is a wind noise reduction setting, but it only works with the internal mic, not with the external mic according to the manual

the internal mic will not work if you connect an external mic, but nothing more about setting up an external mic

I am gonna take a ride without the plush cover, but as I said I doubt that will make any difference

than later on I will look for a place under the seat as you suggest using the extension cable

EDIT: 4 seconds shorter than where I started and more consistent, I hope.

Its ready to receive its final epic shot Smile

If it all can be done in under 20 seconds, it would be perfect.

Riko, I'm no expert on making or editing videos, so you should feel free to ignore me.but that shot of the pipes with the bike on the centre stand doesn't work for me. We've already seen you approach the bike while it's on the side stand, get on it, kick up the stand and then start it. Then we see a shot of the bike on it's centre stand with no rider aboard. For me, the chronology just doesn't work.

Otherwise, it's looking good.

RE: Riko's videos - Riko_imp - 08-08-2016

no you're right, the more I watch it, the more I feel as if that part slipped in and doesn't belong there

gonna redo that part, using a side stand

thx for the feedback btw

RE: Riko's videos - Cormanus - 08-08-2016

Can you redo it with you on the bike? That would be even better, I think.

RE: Riko's videos - Riko_imp - 08-08-2016

naah, the idea was for the anonymous rider sitting and starting the bike.

and without a rider the end would have no reason to exist, namely accelerating away with an epic crane shot Smile

the rider is a must element Smile

RE: Riko's videos - Cormanus - 08-08-2016

Oh, OK, well I meant the anonymous rider, I guess. The sequence would be: gets on, kicks up the stand, starts the bike, shot of pipes with the rider's legs, engages gear.

RE: Riko's videos - Riko_imp - 08-08-2016

ow you mean where the rider is in the full frame including head/helmet?

I purposly did it like that to focus on the bike Smile and close ups of the bike are worth it since the CB has nice details.
But I too had something in mind of a close up of the pipes with my leggs in the shot yes Smile

RE: Riko's videos - Cormanus - 08-08-2016

Riko, I mean the shot at 10 seconds. Would be good with the legs of the rider in it and the bike off the stand. It would follow from the earlier sequence.
