RE: New 2013 ready for the road - the Ferret - 03-07-2015 Its in Mechanical and Technical section RE: New 2013 ready for the road - Olyrider - 03-07-2015 Never mind!!! Found it. It's a SUB forum! Stupid noobie. RE: New 2013 ready for the road - geosar_imp - 03-12-2015 I installed one panel of the 3M clear bra film. The area which is abutted by the seat is now protected. Scoobynut's tutorial was invaluable but there is definitely a learning curve to stretching and squeegeeing the material. Patience, patience and lots of soapy water. I like the result and thank Scooby a lot. George New 2013 ready for the road - Elipten_imp - 03-12-2015 I never could master the technique. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk RE: New 2013 ready for the road - geosar_imp - 03-12-2015 Stretching the film is the key. It took a while to figure out how to stretch the film and squeegee the bubbles out. RE: New 2013 ready for the road - geosar_imp - 04-23-2015 Today my CB has been completed for now. I took the bike to Jerome, Arizona with some friends. I installed an Airhawk 2 (the cheaper version) and it makes all the difference . I also installed the Rox 2 inch risers and the fatigue in my back is much less. Placed the rest of my 3M clear bra on the tank to protect it from the tank bag. 340 miles, and ready for the summer season. RE: New 2013 ready for the road - the Ferret - 04-23-2015 Alright geosar, now ride the wheels off that thing! RE: New 2013 ready for the road - geosar_imp - 04-23-2015 Thank you Ferret. Still mulling the gaiters. I am not certain removing all of those front wheel items is within my abilities. RE: New 2013 ready for the road - the Ferret - 04-23-2015 Its really pretty easy http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3289 |
