RE: dragging parts is fun... - Blockhead_imp - 11-29-2015 The narcissist in me would get that picture blown up to life-size and attached to my game room wall! RE: dragging parts is fun... - spacetiger_imp - 12-05-2015 Yes a good pic. On the suspension, it looks like your front and rear suspension needs some adjustment (preload/new spring). You either have too little preload dialed in or you need a stronger springs front and rear. In looking at your front, it looks like it is compressed about 2-3"; accounting for preload, you are in the 3-4" range. The front only has a 4.2" working range. You have 4.5" working range in the rear. Your exhaust pipes are close to the ground; not a good thing for street riding. [url=http://s93.photobucket.com/user/spacetiger81/media/Sportster/CB1100/suspension%20compression_zps4zao1l5z.jpg.html] ![]() Put some zip ties on the front fork and push them down against the fork lowers. As you ride, the fork compression will move the zip ties and they will stay the last place there where pushed to. This is the easiest way to verify how much of the rear suspension you are using. You can use a nylon washer to verify the rear shock max working range. Keep dragging parts, but be safe. Hit a hole/pot hole and it isn't fun anymore. Jerry RE: dragging parts is fun... - LikeAfox_imp - 12-06-2015 What a great shot RE: dragging parts is fun... - Toddman_imp - 12-08-2015 Yo spacetiger, he's dragging his peg feelers in a very casual way. I think he knows all of that ...LOL. Plus, the suspension does its best work down there. He's probably got a nice trackbike in the garage for those, um, get down rides anyway. Oh and nice pic. RE: dragging parts is fun... - Motogeezer1949_imp - 12-10-2015 Like it, ride on!!!!! RE: dragging parts is fun... - emptysea - 12-17-2015 Cool pic. Where was it taken? |
