Sailing which I have only done a few times, and the same for skiing, are equal to or better for me emotionally than riding a motorcycle. But not as convent! And I would bet sail planes are the same!

Sailing, Flyfishing, Rock Climbing, skiing (both water and alpine) and sometimes golf, all give me the same "nothing much matters in the world except what's right here right now" experience as riding a motorcycle. Oh and sex, but all the rest last much longer. Great post, btw.
