RE: Multiple Bike Insurance - hondahoarder_imp - 11-04-2013 I have all of mine with Dairyland, so far satisfied RE: Multiple Bike Insurance - Tripod_imp - 11-04-2013 I use Allstate. I only have liablility, but it's the best liability they offer. It costs me $75.00 per year, per bike. I just have the one, CB1100 $10K bike, if it gets totaled, I want another. RE: Multiple Bike Insurance - ride4now_imp - 11-04-2013 You got me thinking... I have my insurance through Geico along with 3 cars and a boat. Have been with them for years. All bikes have Florida tags, as Florida is my legal residence, even though the Harley and the KLR 'reside a fair amount of time' in Georgia. I also have an umbrella liability policy with them but my homes are insured with other company's. Bodily injury liability - 300,000/300,000 Property Damage liability - 100,000 Uninsured Motorist - 10,000/20,000 Comprehensive - 100.00 deductible Collision - 500.00 deductible CB1100 - $514.00 KLR650 - 219.00 Harley - 376.00 12 mth Total - 1109.00 While it could always be lower... I'm essentially OK with the price. I would not drop comprehensive... houses burn down and things get stolen from time to time... Not interested in self-insurance here.... That is more than just in Arizona. But they were tightening the screw's down when I left Arizona 11 years ago so I wonder what happened.. I carry that non-insured/under insured as well. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk RE: Multiple Bike Insurance - rboe - 11-04-2013 Thanks Buster. I only knew the stats for AZ but suspected other states would be in similar shape. http://www.statisticbrain.com/uninsured-motorist-statistics/ According to these stats AZ is at 22%. The last figure I read in the paper recently was closer to 27%. But my memory can be a bit wonky.

Gheil, your uninsured motorist is bare minimum, an insurance agent I used to play tennis with said that should be maxed out, especially on a motorcycle policy. 2 days in the hospital could put someone over the 10K coverage. RE: Multiple Bike Insurance - bubblerboy64_imp - 11-06-2013 Two days in the hospital for 10K? Good luck with that. If they take you to the emergency room and bandage your knee and send you on your way you'll be close to the 10K. I am exaggerating but not by much. |
