RE: The little things that bother us - BuffaloBill_imp - 07-29-2013 Done! Love the simple change! A small but distinct change in the look. Appreciate the post Ferret! Well done! Thanks. RE: The little things that bother us - Waffa_imp - 07-29-2013 I've scrapped the cap nut too far down and can't get a wrench on it. Should I just cut them off? P.S. The stock tires have tons of grip, no sign of of the tires protesting when scrapping those feelers, even when encouraging the rear with the right hand. RE: The little things that bother us - the Ferret - 07-29-2013 No Waffa, apparently you need them. RE: The little things that bother us - Guth_imp - 07-29-2013 Waffa, you're just going about removing those indicators in a different way than ferret has suggested.
RE: The little things that bother us - The Spaceman_imp - 07-30-2013 Send me your feelers. They'll be worth thousands on FleaBay in 20-30 years! RE: The little things that bother us - CB4ME_imp - 07-30-2013 Guth - I don't think the exhaust shield is particularly attractive, but the shield will definitely go on the Staintune. I still remember the hours spent trying to get those frequently burned-on rubber sole marks off my old Bonneville. As far as the peg feelers, I don’t think mine are in any danger of contacting pavement in the turns. I do touch pavement with my boots, but usually only when I’m trying. The feelers are probably coming off. Great idea, Ferret! RE: The little things that bother us - wildezt_imp - 07-30-2013 you get that sleep now mr.Ferret..! RE: The little things that bother us - Waffa_imp - 08-05-2013 I removed mine before I lost the spacers. I purchased 8X12mm 1.25 pitch stainless steel studs and lock washers to take their place to protect the pegs. I think it looks good and still have some protection for the foot peg. I hate unplugged holes. Makes stuff look unfinished. |
