RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - Cormanus - 10-20-2025 Yes, indeed, MrP, what are the disadvantages of the DLX? RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - misterprofessionality - 10-20-2025 Basically the big fat gas tank and the weaker front end. There's not a lot to complain about on a DLX, but the '17 fixes all of it. (10-20-2025, 05:35 PM)pdedse Wrote: Well, there 'ya have it! How's the Thruxton been treating you? Like a champ! I just took it to Georgia for the final riding trip this year. It will come out on some weekends all winter long but I won't be back in the mountains with it til April. RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - Cormanus - 10-20-2025 OK, so one aesthetic concern and one practical. RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - misterprofessionality - 10-20-2025 Oh, no they're both practical for sure. Having ridden a DlX on a couple of occasions can say the wider gas tank does unsettle me it's more of an ergonomic problem. RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - Cormanus - 10-20-2025 Interesting. Not near as wide in the front as a ‘17 tank. RE: What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today - misterprofessionality - 10-20-2025 That's right! That kinda bulbous shape is how they got the space to correct the knee area ergos. Oh and if I had to be completely picky I would say the wire wheels would be an aesthetic improvement. Having had them on my triumph now I'm hooked.
