RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - Lord Popgun - 08-19-2026 I can’t believe you found a mural with birds that match you bikes’ names and colors! RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - Gone in 60 - 08-19-2026 Still don't have my CB1100 back from Mom's so I can't submit this for the photo challenge, but it's my favorite mural in Orange County. Snapped it today while we were testing a new job tracking app. This is a column on a parking structure located at the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station. It's mostly redeveloped into high-density housing and offices, and the parking structure was graced with murals painted by Shag, one of my favorite contemporary artists. It artistically depicts the station's role as a coastal defense blimp base during WW2, and shows the face of one of the massive, historic hangars. One of the hangars tragically burned a few years ago. The surviving one is currently for sale. RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - the Ferret - 08-20-2026 Got these today on a John Ruthven mural retaining wall in Milford, Ohio ![]() ![]() ![]()
RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - the Ferret - 08-21-2026 a mileage milestone on Angry Bird my 21 750 DCT
RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - Gone in 60 - 08-21-2026 Wow! Another testament to the durability of this bike! Nice to know that mine will probably outlive me. RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - peterbaron - 08-21-2026 How many miles did it have when you bought it used? RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - the Ferret - 08-21-2026 (08-21-2026, 01:17 PM)peterbaron Wrote: How many miles did it have when you bought it used? I bought the '21 Angry Bird ( the red one ) new with zero miles now at 74,000 I bought the '23 Blue Bird ( the blue one) used with 1290 miles, now at 5,500 RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - Gone in 60 - 08-24-2026 Early Saturday morning, I took the Enfield over to Donut Derelicts. I've probably mentioned it, but this is the show that predates, and in a way begat all of the Cars and Coffee type shows we enjoy today, where enthusiasts gather early in the morning to show off their cars. This gathering is in Huntington Beach and has been going for many decades. I got there at 7:30ish and it was starting to break up (this is a very early crowd), but still saw some awesome cars and bikes. I think I've shown this Torana before, but it made me think of Cormanus. The Rambler for sale next to it was pretty clean. No price listed, just Make Offer. The CL350 here had just come off of restoration, and was attracting a lot of admirers. Note the example of an early factory-applied RLET. RE: What did you do on or to your other bike part 2 - Cormanus - 08-24-2026 Interesting license plate on the Torana. Peter Brock, whose racing number was 05, was synonymous with Torana racing victories in the never ending Holden (GMH) - Ford battle.
