RE: Nantucket Nine - CIP57_imp - 05-14-2015 That's a large finishing nail, glad it didn't puncture the tire. couldn't have stuck in the knobby Chicken strips are part of being on Nantucket.
RE: Nantucket Nine - Ack-CB11_imp - 05-14-2015 My 8987 triple-adjustable piggyback shock came today. With the reservoir towards the back there is plenty of room from the high pipe. Test ride tomorrow. Nantucket Nine - Elipten_imp - 05-14-2015 Lord! I thought you were wild with the CB1100. That empty hole had the sensor in it and without a signal the ABS is deactivated and I love it. So much better in the dirt. We have to much sand on the roads out here, I've slid past so many stop signs and almost into traffic a bunch of times. Not anymore, I like no-ABS. RE: Nantucket Nine - CIP57_imp - 05-20-2015 Yep Ack, I have never seen a dirt bike with ABS We'll I have also not run dirt in 30 years. So, that's a new shock and can this weekRE: Nantucket Nine - Ack-CB11_imp - 05-20-2015 (05-20-2015, 08:21 PM)CIP57_imp Wrote: Yep Ack, I have never seen a dirt bike with ABS It's much much improved, no more 100ft stops!!! Most "Adventure" bikes have a switch to disable it. I've always had at least 1 off roader my whole "dirty" life. Since these are replacements for the replacements, they don't count. ![]() This one doesn't count either being a safety item. It's a Neotec which is an updated Multitec. I've had Multi since 2006 and thru 4 bikes. RE: Nantucket Nine - Cormanus - 05-20-2015 Ack, I heard a rumour that the telephones don't work on the island because the tech is too busy farkling to sort the problems? Is that right? Is that right? No, I run a tight ship out here. Plus I'm never more then 7 miles away, what can happen? ![]() If this wasn't a tiny island I would have never got this job, I was the only one that took the offer. I wish I researched this place more but my old job was a nightmare. Have a great time next weekend, your going to love the riding. RE: Nantucket Nine - Cormanus - 05-20-2015 Thanks, Ack. I'm sure I'll enjoy the riding, your country and the camaraderie. I'm sorry you won't be there on the much farkled Beemer.
