Fair enough too. I guess it might also be lisped pronunciation of a well-known US brand of biscuit. Banana

I work on Navy aircraft (DOD civilian). Ok, I work on radar, but the mech in our office says that oleo struts work almost exactly like the forks on a motorcycle.

I love how other people talk...we call them cookies here

I guess our UK brothers would call them Crumpets or something?

biscuits are made with flour and you either put butter on them, generally with eggs and breakfast meat.. usually bacon here in the US or rip them in half and put sausage gravy on them.

a "shocker" is a surprise as in "Oh yea, that was a real shocker" (upon hearing someone died)

Good stuff the art of language Thumbs Up

Ferret,

I've been watching Wheeler Dealers car show on TV and am learning to speak Brit from that Smile

Cormanus,

Check out the thread ferret's new ride. He posted pics of his new 2014 and it has that brown ring around the key switch. I'd say it IS factory and it looks just like my switch.

RE: Rust on lower fork bracket - the Ferret - 04-02-2014

Yea I looked at that popgun. Kind of an amber ring around the key switch and it does look kind of chewed up brand new

Sorry, had a reversion to a previous life(time). Should have been shocks.

No prob Ptero, sometimes I just have to ask since I don't understand the meaning of some phrases or words.

You should have been with me when I visited Europe for a motorcycle tour. Not only was there the whole German, French, Austrian, Swiss and Lichtenstein languages thing, but them calling something one thing and me calling it something else was too funny.

Thanks popgun. That is some comfort. Smile
