Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - Paulb_imp - 03-26-2016 So you've got a heated garage, a CB 1100 and enough cash and space for four more current production bikes, what you going to choose? I would choose bikes quite different from one another which could cover all types of riding. My choice would be: 1). KTM 690 - light weight, fast reving, fun on the twisties. 2). Indian Scout - laid back cruiser with sporty engine. 3). Triumph Thruxton - got to have a cafe racer. 4). Yamaha V Max - nothing else like it. RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - redbirds_imp - 03-26-2016 Good choices Paul. I would go for a Scout also and a Motus, Suzuki DR650 and an old air head BMW. I'm not familiar with the Motus but just seen the Site and it looks interesting. I considered the R9T BM but thought it was too close to the CB. The DR 650 would have been my sixth choice had I allowed myself one. My choice would be: I could go with the KTM 690...would also like the Triumph Street Twin...wouldn't mind a Royal Enfield Bullet...and, hmmm, what else?.....and I'd like to try the Yamaha xs900....but, alas, my pocket isn't full of cash! Have to stay content with the CB and the KLR650. RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - ride4now_imp - 03-27-2016 In no particular order... 1. CanAm Spyder RT 2. Harley Road Glide 3. Kawasaki KLR650 4. Kawasaki H2 and of course the CB. RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - 4 Paws_imp - 03-27-2016 Using your credit card to fill my garage I'd add: A Rokon Thruxton with a Steib sidecar Africa Twin Motus also. RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - Frulk_imp - 03-27-2016 1. Honda F6B 2. Moto Guzzi Stornello with chrome tank 3. Harley Davidson XR 1200 4. Something that Evel Knievel owned and jumped with. RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - kmoney_imp - 03-27-2016 1. RSV4 RF 2. Harley Low Rider S 3. Triumph Thruxton R 4. KTM Adventure 1190R That's probably in order from most to least wanted.... RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - Jim21680_imp - 03-28-2016 The Interceptor would certainly be #1, but the other 3 are in no particular order. Honda Interceptor 800 ($12,500) BMW R1200GS ($16,500!) BMW K1600GT ($21,500!!) Ducati XDiavel S ($23,000!!!) You can probably tell that I'm a big fan of open swingarms. And with almost $75,000 bucks worth of hardware, you're darn right my garage would be heated! RE: Heated garage and a pocket full of cash - DAC - 03-28-2016 My $.02: BMW R1200RT Ducati Multistrada Harley Road Glide Yamaha R1M This is from my ideal garage collection. |
