Seeing that the cb is done with production do you think that getting parts will be difficult to get?

The parts will be around for a long time , new and used . In the past I always bought too many spare parts and when I sold the bikes than I did sell the parts (often at a loss ! ) The only parts I did very well on where parts for the CBX.

Not for awhile, I mean no harder than they are right now. Luckily unless you crash, CB's dont need a lot of parts. I always keep consumables on hand in the garage, oil & air filter, spark plugs, brake pads.

It's going to be very easy to get all wear parts online for at least the upcoming decade. As for replacements from a crash? you'll probably also be able to get them easily. My plan is to replace anything that breaks with something better than OEM. If rear shocks fail, i'm getting a superior pair of aftermarket shocks, If my brakes go bad, i'll convert to better callipers. If my wheels get bent, i'll replace them with spoked 17" wheels. Once you add the power of the aftermarket into the mix, this bike can live literally forever.

Mechanical and engine parts tend to remain available through Honda for quite some time. Body parts (tanks, side covers, exhausts, seats, fenders, accessories, etc.) tend to become unobtainable fairly quickly, especially on low volume models like the CB.
That said, in 1996 I was able to purchase a NOS tank for my ‘70 CB750K0 from my local dealer, and in the correct color too, so you never know. But a new air box? Forget it.

I feel the quality of the parts on the CB should last for a reasonable amount of time provided the bike is maintained, stored properly and ridden. Being on this forum is just one source of locating parts in addition to other sites you can find online. I ride a '67 305 Scrambler and a '74 CB750. Though the production units were higher for these model years, the age becomes a factor when looking for parts. It just takes some research and patience now to find what I need to keep them on the road.

My first " big bike" was a one year old 67 CL 77 I bought from my older brother who bought a CB 450. Seemed so big back then.

Four years ago I discovered that Honda discontinued supplying the upper fork tubes for my 1998 VBFR800, at least in the USA (the chrome began pitting on one of my tubes). I found they were still available in Europe, but I actually ended up purchasing a set through Samurider. When I contacted Samurider he told me that he checked with Honda of Japan and was informed that they had ten parts in the warehouse. Since then I have discovered that many parts for my 1998 VFR800 are no longer available through Honda - throttle cables and ignition switch, just to name a few. I just purchased a new radiator for my 1981 VW Rabbit from O'Reilly automotive last month, so car parts remain available much longer than motorcycle parts.
