Whoa. If that's "on the road" it is a steal. Black too.

Cheers

The "Totalled" now has the solution to his misfortune.
From the advert.

"Triple Disc Brakes: Honda’s original CB750 introduced disc brakes to motorcycling’s mainstream. The new CB1100 offers triple discs with huge calipers for excellent stopping ability."
Only $6990.
How good is that.
I can only dream.

Or $AUD9040—not quite so appealing.

Definitely the cheapest I've heard of or seen so far I paid exactly $8600 out the door for my 14 standard

That's sad to see a new bike discounted $3,400. Hope mother Honda isn't watching to closely, or we will never see another year of them. I stopped at a MC shop yesterday in RI. They had a 14 Std for sale, but this place also sold Ducati, BMW, Kawa, Grisos, KTM, plus a whole stable full of used bikes, so the CB was sorta lost in the herd. I asked the sales guy who has been there 30 years, how many they sold, he shrugged and said a couple. Ony a couple for a big shop like that ?

I was right about there too, out the door. Even my dealer had a low price advertised, then they added in some 'prep costs', taxes of course, and maybe 'freight' and got to the upper $8k area. I think the above link would include more costs besides just the State sales tax, maybe not.

That's dirt cheap, but I wonder what it would be after they add on document fees, set up, etc. to the price.

Probably a $2000.00 manufacture to dealer incentive in there.

Be interesting to find out the total cost of a sale there.

I had a little discussion with my local dealer about that - in Montana there is NO sales tax; not even on vehicles. The sticker price only included dealer prep - title fees are paid by the buyer.

I'm not far from Spokane, which had a few dealers advertising somewhat lower. But I was told that since I couldn't show tax paid in my home state, since there was none, the dealer would have to charge WA sales tax to transfer title to me. That made it a few hundred more expensive, not less. I could fight it, I guess; but that would involve a couple hours' legal fees...much more than the tax.

But this is almost a 25 percent savings.
