Hello all,

Does anyone have any seat-time on the Whitehouse K10 seat (either the 31.29” or 32.4” option)? I’m wondering how comfortable it is compared to stock, and if it takes care of the pulling-forward issue some have with the stock seat. I've put the Whitehouse tank on my bike, and the tank is gorgeous, but it doesn’t quite look right with the stock seat (still need to get my side panels painted as well). If anyone has any time with the K10 seat, let me know what you think of it. Thanks all, this forum has been such an amazing help.
Ack does. Probably others, although I think most went with a Tiro or something like that.

Lets see the bike with the stock seat and K10 tank.

Here is the tank on the bike with stock seat. I got it on an hour before the blizzard hit Denver last Friday. As you can see, the side panels definitely need painted to match. The stock seat is pressed very tightly against the tank (it is not visible in this pic, but the leather is wrinkling up a bit, although that may smooth out with time). Looks a bit awkward. I prefer the horizontal look of the K10 seat with the K10 tank to the Tiro, although the Tiros does look pretty sweet, and comfy.
forget the pic?
Oops, sorry. Here it is.
Tank looks great. I do think if you have the legs, a taller, flatter seat would look better. On the thumbnail all that really sticks out is the silver side covers.
That tank is a beauty and the bike looks great.

Another option for a traditional seat might be one of the K&H seats. They are expensive but high quality and once broken in they are very comfortable. Exchange rate is very favorable right now so you can get a nice one for under $600 including shipping.....if you can stand to wait 5 to 6 weeks while they build one.
CB4ME, some of those K&H seats look super nice. I'm still leaning towards the WH K10 style horizontal. If I send Takashi my stock seat, it comes to $602ish with shipping.

Which brings me to my next question for you experienced motorcycle riders - the WH K10 seat comes in a 31.29" option (which is tapered, much like stock seat) and the 32.48" (which is completely horizontal on the top). I'm 5'9", and only been riding for a few years now, so do not have much experience with different seats. Would the higher one be too high? I probably have average leg-length for my height.

Sorry for the slow PM reply....
For the thread,
Light,
I didn't go for the 825 because I wanted close to stock, I'm 5'8".
My seat was VERY hard, looked a lot better then it rode. Maybe the taller one would be softer? I was really considering the K&H White House seat for daily riding. The WH seat did ride level w/o the stock push forward. I'd check with Mr T to see if K&H will do the checker board top pattern on their seat yet. They wouldn't 2 years ago. If they do now that would be the way to go, those seats are the best made.
The WH and K&H are made shorter in length so they aren't pushing against the tank as hard. The stock seat and the others are all longer.
Tank looks great.

Thanks Ack. Yeah, now that I look at pics of the smaller seat, it does look pretty hard. I might go with the taller seat, assuming there's more padding in there. I'll ask T if the checker board is available with the K&H. The K&H with K10 tank you posted link to is definitely an option. Man, this is getting complicated. Why did you get rid of your CB? Was it simply the seduction of the R9-T? The hard K10 seat? Thanks again for your input.
