Would it be possible to drag the engine guard, well I guess anything is possible but you would havetobe in such an incredibly low lean that i just don't see it being possible unless your already in a oh sh&t situation. The bar is even with the frame where it connects and then comes up in an angle. At that point you would already be touching other hard parts. If the bar is correctly mounted then I don't see it being a problem at all. I don't know what the other member had happen but maybe he messed up somehow. These engine guards were obviously made with lean angle factored in when engineered. But I guess anything is possible, never had anything like that happen before with any type of mkunts or pegs or guards I've used in the past and these don't seem very low to me but thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind.

If there OEM guards there fine, i just can't tell the difference from a picture.

I remember the post where a members engine guards caused him to drop his bike on a low lean because I was looking for engine guards at the time. The ones he had came off the frame at a right angle for 3 to 4 inches before angling upwards. That was enough of a heads up for me, not that I lean down that far on purpose. I ended up getting aftermarket ones that slopped up immediately, similar to the OEMs.
I looked at it again, I think if your in a lean which the peg is fully compressed than you may be able to catch it on a rough surface. I personally think I'd be OK with it but I guess it could. The peg comes out alot further then the bar. If there is a dip or pot hole than your absoloutly right that it may catch. Good eye. I wouldn't use them on a track.
