I did some searching and see lots of info, most don't link to easy ordering for a 2014 CB1100. I was looking for a luggage rack, with a short back rest, and then a rail or so that's in position to be used as a 'grab handle'.
I am looking for an all in one, that doesn't need much in the way of owner modification. Is there another bike that's very close? I see the Honda Shadow mentioned a few times. I could drill a few holes if need be.
I've looked around, then it seems the 2013 and 2014 models may take a different rack? Thanks for any info.
After looking around and considering options I may just get a rack, forget the bar for now. I doubt I need much of a rest for a passenger anyway. Another idea I liked was looking at options at a motorcycle salvage yard/ parts supply.
2013 and 2014 standard take one rack. 2014 deluxe and EX (international) take another.

That's pretty much what I was looking for. I went with the Hepco & Becker Alurack. It worked for me. I'm planning on getting a small pad made for the raised grab bar next time I'm at the upholstery shop.
One caveat : Some members who have tried this rack recently had problems with fitment. Apparently there was a manufacturing issue with the more recent versions. Search the forum for details.
Edit : Better pic

That Alurack looks very good, and would of done me fine. The reviews are kinda mixed though, great if it fits, frustrating if not. That availability of some of these racks can be slim too.
I ended up getting on the order list at Twisted Throttle, for a Givi SR1118 rack and also some SW Motech engine guards. Bother are on back order, but I'd rather go with a quality seller, and don't need them soon either. The Givi rack reviews well, as does the SW Motech engine guards.
This should be a picture of the Givi rack, SR-1118 for the CB-1100. Sorry about the picture size.
I have both the Givi rack and Motech bars on my '13 CB. Both are excellent and worth the wait. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Good news, my Givi Rack and the S. W. Crash bars shipped today, right on the estimate. I should have them on by the weekend.
