Does anyone know of a company or individual making a café style cowl that can be mounted over the passenger part of the seat kind of like the Thruxton? I'd really love to have that look and the option to quickly change from the solo/café style to a two up configuration. My wife likes to ride with me but I like the café look. I really don't want to really get into the discussion that goes " I like the way it looks with the cowl dear" and in return hear "Oh, I see. You like the way that piece of plastic looks on the bike better than me on the bike." ...and you all know it will go there if I make a permanent modification.

Quickest thing would be the cafe seat since this seat is removed with the twist of a key and a push of a button, takes seconds to remove and replace. Keep the stock seat for when she wants to go for a ride.

I hear ya...I had found a couple I liked but was hoping I could get a cowl for a bit less than a several hundred $ seat.
Have not seen a separate cowl available for these, but maybe someone else has???

Like the OP, I would love to have a Thruxton like cowl that fits over the stock seat. Not much for the Chic kit, or the humped leather pretend ones. Never worked with fiberglass, but have been tempted. Got to be some easy way to integrate with the grab rails, for attachement.
I'm pretty sure that if you find a place that does fiberglass work they could make one for you for less than the $650 the Swiss bike shop was asking. Shouldn't be all that difficult.
I just wonder if one off a Truxton would fit? Maybe swing by a Triumph shop and see?
I don't currently have the free time to tackle such a process, but you could use essentially the same process that Dime City used in building the full tail here.

Maybe over the winter I might try something along these lines, or even buy one of the many preformed fiberglass tails out there and attempt to modify it.
I'm also not a huge fan of the Chic trunk, and have been contemplating if I wanted one of the leather models. This does seem like another route that could work nicely of done correctly.
