This is obviously a form letter for "uncourteous and unprofessional conduct" and doesn't address the details of the incident. Whether they actually inquired with the delivery carrier about it ... who knows?

At this point, I'm not optimistic about compensation of any kind, but just want to make sure it's not getting swept under the rug.

I'd say it's more like a federal government form letter. They won't say anything about a specific incident due to legal concerns. If they acknowledge the incident, that could be used against them in court, and that might actually be the best next step.

Fun trivia: Once one of my dancing gals brought her mother along ... who actually USED to dance with Patrick Swayze back in the day. Sleepy

I went by to visit the OTHER patient at the Honda dealer ... all they are waiting on is the headlight bucket, which is on back order.

Also, if anyone knows a source for a good-priced OEM or quality equivalent for replacement mirrors, let me know. Insurance company will only replace right-side damage ... the left mirror has some pre-existing scratches, and I'd like to make the bike spiffy for when it goes up for sale. Dealer wanted $65 USD for the left mirror alone. I figure I could buy a matching pair cheaper than that and sell the right OEM mirror on eBay.
