Hey guys,I just wanted to share a few thoughts about this new muffler I've just set on the cb. It cost me 400€, which is ok, and the installation process was really easy as you can guess, it only took a few minutes to mount it on the bike. I removed the db killer straight away as I usually ride "loud" bikes. The sound without the db killer was simply unbearable, like a really loud and "turning" (not sur I can say that) hum which gave me a headache right away. So I went back home, took the db killer out and drilled 2 extra lines of holes in it, put it back in place and hit the road again. Much better. Loud but not too much in the low end (loud enough for the car drivers to hear when I ride in between traffic lines-you can do that in Europe). Major improvement as compared to the stock exhaust, plus not very expensive. I'm not sure you can find that in the US, though.

Maybe the sound in that video isn't an accurate representation of the Arrow, but it did nothing for me. Maybe slightly annoying to me even.
The link is to a video that is over a year old so it may not even be from the O.P.
Also, in the video the Arrow hanger bracket is mounted on the wrong side of the foot peg/muffler bracket forcing the muffler outwards.
There are plenty of other Arrow videos with better recorded sound where the owner actually blipped the throttle so that you could better hear the muffler under various conditions. In those examples it sounds much better.
You're right, probably not the best video to show the arrow, I couldn't find the time to do it myself, but in reality, the sound is really good. I drilled again some extra holes yesterday, and the sound gets better and better. I'm not sure about the way it works in the US, but in France it is forbidden to ride without the db killer.
There are noise laws, but 99% of the time nobody cares unless you are being a complete idiot.
The police here in France is really serious about the noise regulations and you can be fined serious money for not respecting that. I still don't get how Harleys can legally ride in France without a less noisy exhaust. You can still cheat by sawing completely the db killer and leaving just the top part in the muffler, the cops won't check that far.
Nope, there's nothing to do but to screw and unscrew a couple of blots.
Anyone know a good place to find one in the US for a 2014?
