I have used this luggage system on a couple of bike and cannot fault it. It is extremely well made and and very versatile. The system consists of a pair of 'L brackets' which are permanently attached to the bike onto which different racks are bolted to take the various bags. I've got three different bag sizes which I use on different occasions. The main advantage of this Ventura system is how it doesn't increase the width of the bike thus allowing easy filtering through traffic and how it sits heavy loads inboard on the pillion seat to maintain good balance of the bike. Day to day I keep the sports rack on the bike and use the smallest bag for day trips. For long weekends away I attach the taller 'pack rack' and use the largest bag and for long trips I zip the large bag and a medium bag back to back and this gives me approximately 70 litres of capacity. The bags a waterproof and also come with a storm cover to make extra sure.
I hear nothing but good things about the Ventura system, very versatile, and sturdy. I'm considering for my Speed Triple, ideal for a trip of two or three days.

I've now done 4 two week trips using the Ventura system and it has been superb.
I've been using the Ventura luggage system since the late 90's with great satisfaction. I first started out with it on a Honda Hawk NT650 and moved most of the hardware over to my CB900F (919). The bags are the same ones purchased all those years ago and they still look great and show little wear and tear. A really good product!
This picture was taken 10-11 years ago with a riding buddy on a trip around our province and he also uses the Ventura system.
With that large bag occupying the seat that way mounting and dismounting requires a good heave with your leg to get back on

I now have the Honda rear luggage rack fitted to the CB1100 and haven't decided yet what luggage system I may fit.
But I still have the CB900F so may simply use that for roads trips instead.
BTW, the Honda Hawk in the picture is the one I used to own before I moved up to the 900F.

I have had Ventura luggage on my Moto Guzzi for 6 years and it works great. I have the backpack and sport pack.
A little history, a system designed like Ventura was sold by Warn Industries back in the '70s. Yes the same Warn Industries that make the winches. I had the system mounted on my CB750.
