I ended up buying one of these instead of fabricating my own bracket and drilling two holes through it that lined up with the fender holes. It's 0.2 inches thick and extremely sturdy. K&H High Seat 'B' Version 2 (Tuck Roll and Tandem Strap):

It added about an inch of seat height over the stock one. I probably preferred the height of the original since it allowed me to flat foot the bike, but it's not a big deal since I have a 30 1/2" inseam and can still get both feet down. I like how the high seat doesn't make the center of the bike dip down as much as the mid or low ones.
Lollipop mirrors back on + new K&H seat.

Great looking license plate. I have the back plate sitting in my Amazon cart now. Which license plate frame did you put on top? JPX - please let me know - I see several options offered there. Or did you source the frame from somewhere else?
Trey, I ordered the following for the outer license plate frame. Happy modding.

Looking good there JPX Thumbs Up
Lots of great pics here, JPX. Love how folks mix and match mods to get a unique look.
Glad you all are enjoying the fruits of my labor as much as I am.

I'm very much itching to ceramic coat the headers to a chrome mirror finish but don't want to wait the quoted 3 week down time it would take to do it; especially with it so nice outside this time of the year. Guess I'm going to put it off until the triple digit heat gets here.
