I very much enjoy the scout, I really don't see it ever coming off the bike. I have the 18" screen on currently. I am right at 5"9" and would probably be better served by another 1-2" of windshield height. The concept is that you just barely see over the top of the screen and the wind is bumped just over the top of your helmet. I have also put risers on the handlebars after the fact with no problems. Windshield height is difficult to get correct because it isn't a simple height thing. It also involves proportion. In my case I have less leg and more torso. If you plan on two screens, get a short one first, then use it to estimate a tall screen while you are sitting on the bike. I think though you get a better deal by ordering two at the same time. On my wife's, I ordered a 10" tinted summer screen and a tall clear screen that I measured ended up way to short for her. I used some taped marked in inches and taped a loop to stand above the top of the installed screen, measured more accurately, with her on the bike, carefully removed and cleaned it, sent it back to factory in exchange for correct height. With all that said though I don't know how much use I will be getting from the 10" screen, the tall screen is so quiet and comfortable it is difficult to justify the shorter screen.
My wife's bike is purple and pictured on the Parabellum site. I put a little gold 'bonneville' decal on the front and clearcoated it. Very nice.
Points being; pre-think anything you may want to add before you paint it, decal looks much better under the clear coat. Don't be discouraged if you miss the correct height, nothing beats butt on seat measuring, if you want a short screen you could get something cheaper than the scout that will look just as cool, the point of the scout for me is the quiet management of wind blast that comes from the fairing and tall screen working together.
