Just ordered one from Bike Bandit. 160/60. $120.44 shipped. I've been touching the Yoshimura pipe down on occasion, hope this might give me a little extra ground clearance. Can't jack the shocks up any higher

The 160/60 is actually a bit smaller in diameter than the stock 140/70. According to a few tire diameter calculators I looked at when I switched to 160/60 the numbers are :

140/70 = 25.72 mm in diameter

160/60 = 25.56 mm in diameter

Try hanging off a bit, just the one cheek and a bit of shoulder...seriously.

You using the stock shocks? They are so soft that even on the firmest setting they bottom quite easily.

Unlikely the 160 will be of any help with clearance as mentioned if anything (like the 150 Continental) it is of smaller OD.

Shocks and technique. You won't see much in the way of improvement because the bike is pretty limited as far as lean angle. Remove centerstand, too, if you are concerned about getting max clearance.

Does the Yosh pip touch on the right-most pipe right where it bends toward the back? Does it only happen on right turns where there's a dip at the apex? If so, I have the same problem. I cranked down the front suspension a bit, and like was said, I move my butt to the inside of the seat, chin over wrist, both of which helped a lot. If you're hitting where I think you're hitting, removing the center stand won't help. I'm running RP3s, by the way.

Removing centerstand does not not help. The sidestand drags before the centerstand.

I've just had a T30 Evo 140/70 installed. I managed to get a work colleague to bring one back from Japan. It cost me just under NZD$240 (approx USD$167). My previous BT54 rear tyre lasted 15,000Km and I'd already replaced the front with a T30 at around 12000Km, so I'll be interested to see what mileage I get out of the T30's. While checking the bike over for the cause of a surge around 2200 - 2400 rpm my Honda dealer found there was excessive play in the LH swing arm bearing causing the swing arm to move at the pivot which I thought was really bizarre particularly as no one else has reported such an issue that I could find. Thankfully Honda covered the repair under warranty as the bike is over 2 1/2 years old but even with the new bearings installed, apparently they had to shim the bearings to totally eliminate all clearance. Its been almost 4 weeks off the road so I'm certainly pleased to be back riding again.

Well I did not believe it either so I went in and asked if they could show me. The technician was very good and actually works on Ducati's but was given my bike to work on and to his credit he obviously thoroughly checked it out. He basically held the back wheel from the side at 10 and 4 o'clock and twisted the wheel back and forth and as we did this the chain loosened and tightened. So I give him full credit as I'm sure if this had been found at the next service, warranty would not have covered it..I still have my surge which I think is a "lean cruise" surge but I had not noticed it until after the 12K service when the valve clearances were checked, so I'm beginning to think that maybe my riding style has changed as I'm gaining confidence with the bike and I also maybe riding it a bit differently..or just tuning into it more

First report of anything like that.
