I am sure someone is using the Ventura rack system, am I correct in assuming that the sport rack configuration in the same base that is used for the larger bag system? It appears as though the sport rack can be pulled and replaced by the higher luggage rack.
Am I getting this concept correctly, in that one rack system can have multiple applications?
Well built I assume? What, other than price, is not to like?

the side "L" brackets are bike specific.
i believe there are 2 widths of the racks that attach to the brackets and are indeed interchangeable.
i had it on my nighthawk.
very well built and a good luggage choice.
i actually still have mine from the nighthawk in case anyone is interested.

Yes, you are correct. I've been using the Ventura system for many years an two different Honda bikes and have covered thousands of miles with it.
As DJS mentioned, the brackets are bike specific and the racks are sized for those brackets.
It's a quick swap to change out either rack.
In this picture I have the sport rack and Ventura tail pack on my CB900F (919).

919 one of my favorites. Thank you gents for the good information. Any online sources you'd recommend? I think I can order direct from manufacturer, I 'm thinking install is a do it yourself affair.

Check the Ventura web site, but I think there is (or was) only one distributor in the US. That's where I bought my system years ago, but it's possible there are other dealers now.
Fitting the bike brackets is quite straight forward and quite easy to do.
