Decided to change by fenders back to chrome. Still trying to decide which way I like it better, but I think the chrome definitely shows off the retro character of this bike?

I'm a chrome guy,, but I like it with the red fenders on better..

Have you thought about chrome side covers? What kind of muffler is that?

Your bike looks great either way, but I'm partial to the retro chrome

Probably won't go with chrome side covers because I really like them matching the tank color.

While my bike is a 2013 model, the exhaust is a set of DLX header pipes with Over Racing slip on mufflers, which I picked up from Samurider. It sounds great!

I've considered going with black fenders for my standard but have decided, at least for now, that I'd miss the chrome ones soon after they were gone. Of course, everyone has their preference and, as others have said, it looks good both ways. Seeing photos of your bike next to each other like that, my preference is the chrome. Something about the chrome fenders makes your shield stand taller and your springs springier.

Ditto, another vote for the chrome fenders.

Come home to chrome.

I look at this a lot. I think because my engine and wheels are silver I don't need as much chrome so I changed the rear fender, but won't change the front, trying to find the perfect balance, for me.
