When I bought my new 14 CB1100 a few weeks ago I was happy with how it looked, but I knew I would change/remove/add a few things.

The bike had a comet fairing, after market mirrors that made it impossible to look behind you, an ultralow renthal bar with the stock bar end weight that made it look really bad, SW motech crashbars, and an aftermarket exhaust that sounds ok. This is what it looked like: http://i.imgur.com/eSmwAuh.jpg

In the month I have owned the bike I have only done some minor modifications, but the bike is really going where I want it to go.

I have removed the bar end weight, the stock hand grips and put on oxblood red grips and bar end mirrors. I have removed the comet fairing, and I have added red reflective tape to make the bike more visible at night. I have also added a transparent tank protective sticker.

On my list for this winter:
- fender elminator kit
- an oxblood red leather seat/cover
- brake and clutch levers either red or black
- a headlamp grill, black.

I am also debating whether to change the handle bar and put a medium renthal color gold, but I am not sure. Also considering a different exhaust, the Yoshimura seems great, but I am not sure.

As for the wind protection, I am thinking about the Marlin, but I might simply put the come fairing back on. We will see.
Very nice. I have the SW Motechs and love them. If you decide to sell the Road Comet and/or the low bars, I'd be interested.
Those grips look sweet.

Thanks!

I haven't decided yet re the comet. I guess I will need it for the late Fall and Spring here in Chicago, but I can't seem to like the look.

As for the bars, I like them, but I know that long distance I wouldn't. I will let you know!

$18. They are the brand Biltwell. I had to make a whole in them for the bar end mirrors and I wish I had been more careful. As of now you can see that they look ripped if you look well enough. Oh well...
The road comet looks really nice honestly but love the bike. Good progress on making it your own.
Looks like a delkevic exhaust. I have one on my bike and I like it. I could do with a louder edhaust, but it sounds good.
Looks good
Like the grips. My daughter has those on her Sportster and they feel great due to the palm swell. I thought the road comet looked very angular in the pic. A darker Marlin on your bike would look very nice in my opinion. Nice mods so far!
