I've been thinking about replacing my wintertime plexi-2 w/ a smaller one for summertime use, and noticed that MRA has a few for CB1100

The two that I'm interested in is this new Vario screen for naked: VNB
Quote:This screen comes in two parts. The upper part can be adjusted by 5 cm in height. Together with the adjustment for screen angle, this allows the motorcyclist to adjust the screen to an ideal position. The air vents in the lower part ensure an air current behind the screen, giving the rider turbulence-free wind protection. [Image: 0585b05a5ad895498004917e7479a3f1.jpg]

and the VarioTouringScreen for NakedBike"VTNB
Quote:Small screen with a big effect. You can fix the screen at any angle you want. The upper spoiler is adjustable in 7 positions and can be fixed at your favorite position.

From a design perspective, I am guessing that the VNB has a channel for the wind to escape through the middle of the shield. And this feature seems to break/reduce/eliminate turbulence.

The vario screen has a flap to flick the wind up and over rider. But does this flapper also reduce turbulence since it's also a two piece? Anyone who has this knows how effective it is at eliminating turbulence?

Pricewise, they're w/in $10 apart.
from an aesthetic point, I can't decide which I like better. Thoughts?

I have a VTNB that I had on my bike for about 3 months. I will make you a good deal on it if you’re interested.
Why did you take it off, TC?

That particular screen looks great on the 1100, but it does not do much other than that. I currently run NC Street Shield EX with a MRA X-Creen Touring wing mounted on top of that. It provides more than adequate protection and noise reduction. If I really want protection and quiet I run a Plexi Star 2 with the same X- Creen clamped on top of it.
