Just bought a “split” Denali Sound Bomb horn on sale from twisted throttle. I’m struggling to figure out the right mounting location for the horn part of the setup.
Anyone have suggestions and/or pics of where yours is mounted?
Thanks!
J
I put one on the left side of my V-Strom in the vee, where it didn't look too bad. But it's a tough thing to hide on a bike as clean as the CB1100. Turned sideways, there looks like there's plenty of room under the front of the tank, with just the trumpets hanging down in the gap above the oil cooler.
One thing about them is that there is a very slight delay after you hit the button while the compressor rotor spools up pressure.

Fortunately, this model has both trumpets' openings on the same side.

Thanks PekingDuck... Yeah, the struggle is real! :-) The CB's oil cooler is right where one might typically mount the horn. My other thought/option was to run the hose all the way to the triple tree, and replace the horn pair there with the horn from the Denali. Guess I'll just take a weekend and figure it out...

Keep the hose as short as possible to build pressure as quickly as possible, and the trumpet openings low so water drains down and out.
