Max, is it the same brown as the 1970s 500 Four?
Hi there mate, the original cb500 was a distinct brown metallic, like this; https://classicmotorhub.com/showroom/honda-cb500-k1/

this is a much darker and nice flaked metallic.
here's the link to the ad; https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbi...a7f9b16d34

This link will expire at some stage but you can rightclick on the fullscreen picture and "save picture as" the pic's in a folder if you want.

There is a red doorframe in the reflection of the paint, so adjust for that and picture no 7 will give you the best idea of the color.

click to enlarge the photo and click on the right or left arrow in the picture to navigate to the next one ( there are twenty pic's ) and there are currently seven cb1100's for sale on this website.

On a slightly different note i took some pics of this guy today also, the owner had ordered it through the dealer and after many months it arrived, of course it was sold when it arrived in the shop, i think it will be on the road soon so i asked permission to take some pics and here it is;[Image: 8e266211ed97e748a5ba58f5a1217ce9.jpg]

We may even hear from a new owner soon, who knows?
Thanks, max. It’s a beautiful bike at a ridiculous price. Interesting that people in NZ are importing post 2012 bikes. Good for them. And good for NZ that it’s obviously not too hard to do.

Current set up.

Grey tank, black panels, silver engine and wheels

Metallic Purple - If anyone hasn't suggested it already. Like a Yamaha FS1E (I think)
Lol, I noted last page I’m seriously considering purple for mine.
What inspires you? I painted both of mine.
I love this Forum. Unique images come out of the wood work.
Here's the 'purple'/silver of my BMW. It's actually a metallic mauve that they call 'aubergine'. It's very attractive with the silver, but maybe a bit 'girly' as a colour, perhaps?

Bazbro, is the tank bag big enough? Cool
