It basically replaces what I call the air box snorkel and simply holds the air filter in place. While this intake funnel helps, it doesn't eliminate the big intake bottleneck. Namely the 35mm diameter opening into each of the 4 throttle bodies are restricted by 25mm funnels. And that's where the air funnel kit comes in.

I can believe a 20hp gain with a combination of the air intake funnel, 4 air funnels, cat free (open headers) and hi flow exhaust.

Some have dyno'ed their bikes with all these components for the kit. It would be great if you took the lead.

ROFL

1st = dyno before
2nd = the same dyno after
3= after evaluating results, I will laugh even more
Smile
I dont believe either Big Grin, mine setup includes cat-free header from Moto Gears, BMS muffler, new air intake (same as TSR), KN air filter, Bazzaz ZFI but HP gain only 8 - 9HP on dyno Smile. Full titanium exhaust system installed, slices around 10kg off the bike.

The benefit of my snorkel mod was primarily sound.
Otherwise the bike remained stock in terms of performance.
The Dart Marlin was the biggest improvement for comfort, especially cruising at 80 MPH.

I expect that your ~8-9 HP gain was only at upper RPMs and that the 22 pound weight savings was the most improvement.

BTW, I would not recommend my snorkel mod or a TSR for running in heavy rain.

Hey thanks so much!,
So far it's looking like I really need to put in catless headers before I touch the velocity stacks. I think I'm going to pull the stock funnels out and hone them myself instead of ordering the TSR funnel kit for 500$

I would need Guhls to make sense adjustments to my A/F then right? I already had them do the flash, ignition timing, remove speed limiter
Hey mvk24,

I had Arrow cat free headers, Over Can, TSR Funnels, PCV, WB2, TSR Air Filter Kit and Guhl re-flash for limiter and Ing. timing.

Went from 72-98+ RWHP. Lost weight off the bike and it flew...

I think you can just hone the std funnels as Josh did with the same results. I'd certainly try that before you go for the TSR's.

I've got an WB2, Arrow Cat free headers with 18mm port fitted for the WB2 and both and Arrow and Over end can for sale if your interested.

PM me if your interested...

Hey beardy just saw this now. Tore my meniscus in 2 places and have been off the map for a few months since surgery. Trying to diagnose why my bike doesn't wanna cruise and only wants to accelerate since the ECU flash. The shop is thinking A/F ratio and wants to Dyno to confirm i need a fuel controller.. not rolling in it right now since i was out of work for 2 months with the surgery but if you don't mind let me know if you still have any of that for sale and how much. starting a second job next week so i should have some play money soon Smile
Anyone running the TRS with the K&N ride in the rain? There is obviously a large open hole in the side now for water to get in. I am curious if anyone has experienced riding in any rain, not just heavy sustained rain.
